The Swype keyboard, which lets you compose words on a smart phone or tablet keyboard by swiping your finger from letter to letter instead of typing, is being upgraded to stay up to date with the latest words and phrases. Think of Swype Living Language as a crowd-sourced way to keep up with the way people are speaking in the 21st century.
If you opt in (by visiting http://beta.swype.com), you'll be able to share and receive new words and phrases as they trend. It's a flexible model that also allows words to be removed if they fall out of use.
Another new feature for Swype is Smart Editor. It suggests sets of words or makes suggestions that make sense in the context in which the words are being used.
