Automakers routinely update their cars without telling buyers. But they don’t usually do it all at once, as Volvo has just discretely done.
Starting last week, the company began delivering updated models that are all called 2015.5 models. Some options have been reshuffled into different packages on various models, as well. For example, the 2015.5s include standard navigation with Volvo’s Sensus Connected Touch system, which allows you to surf the Internet and check e-mail from the car (when parked). Those were added cost features on regular 2015s.
Details and pricing vary by model. So if you’re shopping for a Volvo, or considering any other brand, make sure you know what model year you’re considering. With the extra standard equipment on newer models, you should be able to negotiate for bigger discounts on remaining 2015s.
