A few weeks ago, I was asked by a Talking Cars fan what my pick was for the worst car ever. “Ever” is a mighty long time, so at the end of Episode #31 of the "Talking Cars with Consumer Reports" video podcast, we asked our viewers for help. They rose to the task, sending in dozens of suggestions. In this episode, Jon Linkov, Gabe Shenhar, and I reveal our choices, as well as discuss viewer picks.
It’s no surprise that choices took a decidedly modern bent. Like Gabe says, every modern car is better than his parents’ BMW Isetta bubble car, but we stuck with choices that we were more recently acquainted with. So did most of our readers, generally sticking to cars from the last 40 years. We also discuss some cars from growing up and our years at Consumer Reports that left a particularly bad impression.
A few truck-loving commenters weren’t too impressed with our discussion about the Chevrolet Tahoe/Suburban and GMC Yukon in episode #31. We wrap up the show with our rebuttal to their lively letters.
