Best printers at any price
We may dream of a paperless world, but the truth is we love printing our documents, charts, presentations, and photos. So if you're looking for just the right printer for your needs or for a gift this holiday season, consider these selections. (Click on the links below for detailed model information.) You may find even better deals than those listed below during the holiday shopping season.
All printers listed are recommended by Consumer Reports, but be sure to check our Ratings to see whether particular models are more or less expensive to operate—they do vary.
If you're looking for a printer that can also scan, fax, or copy, consider an all-in-one. If you only need to print, go for a regular model. Last, if you aren’t looking to print photos, consider laser printers, since they generally print excellent quality pages of text, though they aren't as good at printing photos.
